ProDentim Review

Can probiotics clean your teeth? That’s the question asked by ProDentim, one of Clickbank’s hottest oral health supplements ever.

Typically, people chew probiotic tablets for gut health. Even for gut health, however, probiotics aren’t backed by great science: they’re not proven to help gut health in everyone.

However, you don’t just have probiotics in your gut; they’re also in your saliva and around your mouth. Like your gut microbiome, your oral microbiome needs to be balanced for optimal health.

Today, Weird Trick Review explores what ProDentim is, how it works – and whether or not you should take it to support your oral health.

Features

ProDentim is a chewable nutritional supplement featuring three ingredients and 3.5 billion CFUs (colony forming units) of probiotics per serving.

According to the official website, ProDentim contains ingredients “clinically proven to support the health of your teeth and gums.”

Based on social media reports, people don’t seem to take ProDentim to simply maintain good oral health or support good teeth and gums. Instead, people seem to take ProDentim for serious oral health issues – like bleeding gums or even loose and rotted teeth. Officially, ProDentim doesn’t appear to be marketed to people like this (likely for legal reasons).

Key features of ProDentim include:

  • Support oral microbiome using probiotics and prebiotics
  • Target teeth and gums
  • Promote sinus health and more
  • Easy-to-use, chewable tablet
  • “Natural formula”
  • Blend of 7 active ingredients (including 3 probiotics)

Why Probiotics?

Most people think of their gut when they heard the word “probiotics.” However, “probiotic” bacteria are found throughout your body – including in and around your mouth.

The digestive process starts as soon as food enters your mouth. When you start chewing food, probiotic bacteria in your mouth break down that food before passing it down your esophagus and into your stomach.

If your oral microbiome is imbalanced, then your body doesn’t kickstart the digestive process properly.

An imbalanced oral microbiome is also associated with high rates of bad bacteria, which can lead to tooth decay, bad breath, and other oral health issues.

For all of these reasons and more, ProDentim aims to provide your mouth with the right balance of probiotic bacteria to support a thriving, balanced oral microbiome.

ProDentim Ingredients

ProDentim contains seven ingredients, including three strains of probiotic bacteria and four other ingredients.

Probiotic Ingredients

The probiotic ingredients in ProDentim include:

Lactobacillus Paracasei

Lactobacillus paracasei, or L. paracasei, is the first listed ingredient on the official ProDentim website. According to the makers of ProDentim, the probiotic ingredient has two main purposes, including:

  • “Support the health of your gums”
  • “Helps your sinuses stay free and open”

Bifidobacterium Lactis (BL-04)

ProDentim contains Bifidobacterium lactis in the form of a proprietary formula called BL-04.

Like the other two active ingredients in ProDentim, BL-04 broadly supports the balance of mouth bacteria. However, according to the makers of ProDentim, it also supports benefits like:

  • “Supports respiratory tract”
  • “Maintains a healthy immune system”

Lactobacillus Reuteri

L. reuteri can promote healthy inflammation around the mouth, according to the official ProDentim, which states the probiotic ingredient:

  • “Helps with inflammation”
  • “Supports a healthy mouth environment”

There does appear to be a connection between probiotics and oral health. In a 2010 study, for example, researchers performed a meta-analysis on probiotic supplements and oral health. Researchers found common gut health supplements could also promote oral health by colonizing the oral cavity (i.e. your mouth). By chewing ProDentim (instead of swallowing the capsule whole), you can release those probiotic strains into your mouth.

Researchers have even connected poor probiotic balance to periodontal disease and cavities. In one study, for example, researchers found probiotic supplements could help manage serious tooth and gum diseases by restoring homeostasis, promoting overall balance within your mouth.

Four Other Ingredients

ProDentim contains four other ingredients. Those four ingredients include “plants and minerals,” according to the makers of ProDentim. Three of the ingredients (malic acid, tricalcium phosphate, and peppermint) are inactive ingredients that hold the tablet together and make it chewable and tasty. The other ingredient, inulin, could promote a balanced microbiome.

Oddly, however, the makers of ProDentim suggest some of the inactive ingredients could actually promote active effects:

Inulin

Inulin is a plant-based fiber typically found in digestive health supplements, where it contributes to the balance of your gut and your overall microbiome. It feeds probiotic bacteria, helping them to survive, thrive, and multiply.

According to the makers of ProDentim, inulin:

  • “Supports the good bacteria”

We may not think of fiber as an oral health supplement ingredient, but studies show it can promote oral health. One study, for example, found a high fiber diet could reduce the progression of periodontal disease. That study also found older adults following a high-fiber diet had a much lower risk of periodontal disease than adults with a low-fiber diet. In other words, fiber – like inulin fiber – could help promote oral health in multiple ways, based on existing scientific research.

Malic Acid

Malic acid is a natural chemical made by all living organisms. It’s found in fruits, for example, where it gives certain fruits their sour tastes. It’s also used in cosmetics, medicine, and foods as an additive. When used for these purposes, malic acid is considered an industrial chemical.

According to the makers of ProDentim, malic acid:

  • “…helps maintain tooth whiteness.”

The manufacturer also claims the malic acid in ProDentim comes from strawberries – not industrial manufacturers. Malic acid is naturally present in strawberries and many other fruits.

Tricalcium Phosphate

Tricalcium phosphate, like malic acid, is typically used as a food additive – not as an active supplement ingredient. It’s an anticaking agent designed to keep the rest of ProDentim’s tablet stable.

Appearing as a white, odorless powder, tricalcium phosphate is found in baby powder, antacids, toothpastes, and tablets like ProDentim.

According to the makers of ProDentim, tricalcium phosphate:

  • “Supports tooth health.”

Peppermint

Peppermint is a plant used for centuries as a flavoring agent, cooling aid, and natural anti-inflammatory. Some drink peppermint tea as an herbal remedy. Others chew peppermint for digestive health. It has a long history of targeting many ailments.

Peppermint gives ProDentim’s chewable tablets their distinct, peppermint flavor. However, it also, according to the manufacturer, acts as a natural anti-inflammatory, contributing to your overall oral health:

  • “Peppermint is a natural anti-inflammatory.”

Chewing peppermint plant for inflammation may sound whacky. But some studies show it can genuinely help. That’s because peppermint contains a primary component called menthol, which appears to have anti-inflammatory effects. In a 2024 study, for example, researchers called peppermint “a promising treatment agent in inflammatory conditions” because of menthol’s effects. Researchers researched that conclusion after a comprehensive systematic review of existing studies.

Trick Factor

ProDentim doesn’t officially advertise itself to people with bleeding gums, loose teeth, and other serious oral health problems.

However, many people who take ProDentim do seem to suffer from these serious oral health problems.

Some can’t afford to visit a dentist. Others don’t have dental insurance. Some simply hate going to the dentist at all.

Whatever the situation, ProDentim’s official website keeps things clean. Aside from a few odd statements, obviously fake reviews, and inflated pricing compared to other probiotics, ProDentim isn’t as tricky as other supplements available today.

  • Trick #1: Fake Reviews: The official ProDentim website has fake reviews from people like “Portia Thompson” and “Sam Perkin” who appear to have solved serious oral health problems just by taking ProDentim. Sam, for example, claims his teeth didn’t feel right for “decades” until he started taking ProDentim.
  • Trick #2: “Dentist Recommendation”: One of the most problematic statements on the ProDentim website comes from Portia Thompson, who claims her dentist told her to take ProDentim. There’s no evidence any dentist or medical professional has ever reviewed ProDentil, authorized its use for serious oral health problems, or verified its safety. Nevertheless, a fictitious review on the ProDentim website says she’s “…so glad my dentist recommended it to me.”
  • Trick #3: Awkward Claims: Some of the ingredients in ProDentim act as a “natural anti-inflammatory,” according to the official website. Others help “maintain tooth whiteness.” There’s no good scientific evidence showing probiotics or other active ingredients could contribute to tooth whiteness.
  • Trick #4: “Unlike Anything You’ve Ever Tried”: The makers of ProDentim go as far to explain that the supplement is “unlike anything you’ve ever tried or experienced in your life before.” That’s a bizarre claim: it’s a chewable probiotic tablet flavored with peppermint. That’s it. You can get similar supplements on Amazon for under $10.
  • Trick #5: 95,000+ Reviews with 5-Star Rating: ProDentim doesn’t have 95,000 reviews with a 5-star rating, contrary to what the website may claim. Sure, it’s one of Clickbank’s hottest supplements, but it’s not that popular or top-rated.
  • Trick #6: “Natural Ingredients”: ProDentim pushes the limits of the word “natural” with ingredients like tricalcium phosphate and malic acid. The manufacturer claims to get its malic acid from strawberries, although most malic acid is made in a lab. Generally, they’re synthetic chemicals (derived from natural sources) – not technically natural ingredients.
  • Trick #7: “Designed for All Ages and Medical Conditions”: In the fine print at the bottom of the ProDentim website, you’ll see a line stating the supplement is “designed for all ages and medical conditions” and that the ingredients “have been generally considered to be safe.” It’s true the ingredients are generally considered to be safe when taken by healthy adults in normal dosages. However, it’s inaccurate to claim ProDentim – or any supplement – is safe for people with “all…medical conditions” to take.

Pricing

ProDentim has the same $49 to $69 per bottle pricing scheme as many other Clickbank supplements.

The more bottles you buy, the more you save. However, the manufacturer only provides free shipping on 6 bottle purchases (you also get 2 free bonus eBooks with your 6 bottle purchase).

Free Bonus eBooks include:

Bonus #1: Bad Breath Gone: One Day Detox: Can you really get rid of bad breath in one day? That’s the idea behind this eBook. You’ll discover 7 herbs and spices to eliminate bad breath – along with other practical strategies for improving your breath starting today.

Bonus #2: Hollywood White Teeth at Home: Discover the “10-Second Bright Teeth Method” purportedly used by Hollywood actors to freshen breath and whiten teeth. The eBook walks you through this method and how you can replicate it at home today to promote oral health.

Both eBooks normally retail for $109, according to the manufacturer – which is insane. Nobody pays $109 for an eBook packed with information you can find online for free.

As with many Clickbank supplements, ProDentim talks from both sides of its mouth: the supplement appears to claim you can rapidly promote oral health with the formula but they also encourage you to take the supplement for 6 months to promote oral health. Which one is it?

Like many Clickbank supplements, ProDentim has a decent refund policy: you can receive a full refund (minus shipping) with no questions asked within 60 days of your purchase if you’re unhappy with ProDentim for any reason.

ProDentim Chewable Probiotic Tablets: Overall Rating

ProDentim is one of the most popular oral health supplements launched on Clickbank in recent years.

Soaring to the top of the health and wellness space, ProDentim appears to be popular for people with serious oral health problems – like gum disease, bleeding gums, or loose teeth.

There’s no evidence ProDentim can help with serious oral health conditions. However, studies show probiotics can have a significant effect on overall oral balance. If your oral microbiome is imbalanced, it’s not good for digestion, the smell of your breath, or the state of your teeth.

If you use ProDentim as part of a brushing and flossing routine (with regular dentist visits) to maintain oral health, it could genuinely help. However, there’s no evidence it can reverse bleeding gums, loose teeth, or serious dental health problems (and there’s no evidence it was ever approved by a dentist as suggested on the official website).
